Strang has about twenty employees across three shops in Richland Center, Viroqua and Highland. Most of them live in the towns they serve, and a lot of them have been here a long time. Our technicians hold more than a hundred years of field experience between them.
We cover heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, well service and business phone systems, which means the work varies. You are not doing the same install every day for a year.

What we are hiring for
Master or Journeyman Electrician
Residential wiring, farm and agricultural work, new construction, panel upgrades, generators and EV chargers. Master or journeyman licence required.
Plumber
Water heaters, fixtures, drain work, softeners, water treatment, and septic systems out of our Highland shop. Licensed plumbers and experienced apprentices both considered.

We run plumbing and electrical apprenticeships in house, and we pay for the training.
That matters more out here than it would in a city. Skilled tradespeople are scarce in rural Wisconsin, and a company that only hires them rather than making them eventually runs out. Our apprentices learn on local jobs, in local buildings, on the kind of equipment this area actually has.
If you are starting out, this is a real route into a licensed trade without leaving the area to get it.
